Medical electronic thermometer - safer to use. Although the medical electronic thermometer is not as good as the glass thermometer in terms of temperature measurement accuracy, it will not affect the judgment of the disease. 

Red ear thermometer - Rapid measurement, three or two seconds to measure body temperature. Although the accuracy of the red ear thermometer is affected by more factors than that of the glass thermometer and medical electronic thermometer, it saves a relatively long waiting time, and is generally suitable for special groups such as infants and young children.

Currently, there are JJG 1164-2019 "Infrared Ear Thermometer Calibration Regulations" and JJF 1107- 2003 "Calibration Specifications for Infrared Thermometers for Measuring Human Body Temperature" in China to standardize the traceability management of the above infrared thermometers. According to the regulations, the maximum allowable laboratory error of an infrared ear thermometer within the range of 35.0 ℃ to 42.0 ℃ should not exceed ±0.2℃. The maximum allowable laboratory error of an infrared forehead thermometer within the range of 22.0 ℃ to 40.0 ℃ should not exceed ±0.3℃.
